I've completed the amplifier and here it is with Sylvania 10Y
and with Cunningham UX-250
Again many thanks!
Hey Alexandar, it is still simple: 5842 -> 50/10

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

Hi Raja,
Here is the updated schematic. What is not shown is the TDO hum balance pots for the 50/10Y filaments that I installed last night.
Due to limitations of my power transformer, the Lundahl LL1648, the voltages of the power tube and driver tube (5842) are starved. If I'd had the choice, I will be sticking to 7.5V filaments for the 50/10Y.
However, both power tubes offer glorious mids. With the 10Y a bit more magical, subjectively. The 50 though is a power performer, the weight, dynamics and detail are there and can do justice to dance music extremely well. Both tubes offer emotional reproduction of classical music.
Should you pursue this project, I believe you can do better than this
Good luck!
