I have acquired a 4K:10K SE to PP grids interstage transformer and thought about building a bass amp for a buddy of mine that plays guitar. What kind of tubes would a 10K secondary be good for driving? I was thinking something simple like two 811As running conservative class B with maybe 600v on the plates. I'm planning for about 80 watts or so. Maybe EL509s instead? Any input appreciated.
