Someone kindly sent me a copy of a page from the Vademecum (the European tube 'Bible'?) on a specific tube I'm interested in. For tube equivalents it listed equivalents as Slm = Tube and/or SFR = Tube
Could someone with more familiarity with this book tell me the meanings of these abbreviations?

Thanks in advance

Hi,

I don't have the book handy here but from what I recall it meant
SIM = simular meaning electrical equivalent.
SFR = simular but with different internal pinout.
Check with what the other guys have to say but I'm sure it was something like that.
Hang on to that book though,it's a gem.

Greetz,

Frank,

Sincere thanks. I just got back into town (returning my overindulged son to University) and saw your response. Unfortuneately, I don't have the Vanemucum, but rather, I was sent a copy of one page. From its context, I'd assumed those were the meanings, but purposely left my suspicions out so not to prejudice any response.

Many thanks,
Paul
