Quicksilver Mono 60 upgrades

I was wondering how the new Silver 60s compare to the older mono sixties. Soundwise etc.. Are there major differences in the circuit? And do they use the same output iron?

Can an older pair of mono 60's be easily upgraded?

I would think that the newer design would be better.

First, try replacing the coupling capacitors to the power tubes and then the input tube plate load resistor change to better one of carbon film 1% precision type...u'll hear the difference

I know there are some improvements which can be made to the old circuit.

However, I'm wondering if the Mono 60s can be upgraded to the new circuit, because I would think there are some good improvements to the newer designs.
