Franks Ultimate Preamp....

I'm considering building Frank's 6SN7 linestage with the regulated supplies and tube rectification, and am wondering if anyone here has actually tackled this project and if so what results did you get?

I picked up a homemade preamp on E-Bay last month that will be a great start for parts and I need a new project.

Yes, I built Frank's 6SN7 linestage and I consider it to be well worth the effort. The 6sn7/5692 is a very nice sounding tube.

Did you build it with the regulators? What tube did you use for a rectifier if you did?

First time was with VR tubes. Second time with Franks regulated supply. I used a 5y3 rectumfier tube.
