300B pepsi challenge

Hi guys!

I'm looking for new 300B for my amp and I dont know what to buy.(of course I would like Western electric, but...€€€)

what is your favorite 300B tube?
did you tried several brands in a side by side configuration?

My current 300B are Audio Note brand, but actually they are chelmer valve.

My favorite 300B is a Tungsram AD1

(only pedants complain about the output power halved)

I dont know much about the 300B's but wasnt GE going to remanufacture them to original spec? Is that the case, and what are they like?

I do find it quite cool that a 1930's triode is the big thing in audio thats just awesome

A dealer in the US is for TJ 300Bs is Valvotron-$275 for mesh plates. I like them a lot, big improvement over the Valve Art 300Bs I had been using.
