Would the GS35B be suitable for an otl? This is a hi power
triode and I am having trouble finding the tube data in a form I understand. In paticular what would it`s output resistance be used as a cathode follower? Thanks |

Hi woody,
I personally do not think this tube is suitable to build an OTL. For an OTL you usually want high current capabilities and good linearity at relatively low anode voltages, which is not the case for the GS35B. Moreover, this tube is designed as a high power HF triode, requiring forced air cooling. Not really what you want for an audio amplifier... Cheers, Bruno |

Go with PL-519, especially Made in Germany by SIEMENS, if you can get your hands on NOS stock

Hi,
Or use the cheap and cheerful 6AS7G/6080 whcih use regular octal sockets and do not require any topcaps. Cheers,
