This is a Cleo V and Phono Dude in one. Which would you choose?

The 4 nine pin sockets in a group is the phono amp section.

The big sockets are for Ba tubes..

Well I am old fashioned. And so is the buddy I'm building it for.

I could also have tried something like the minimal reactance PSU ...as coined and thought up by Dave Davenport of Raleighaudio. But the request was to build a Cleo V and Phono Dude.

What specifically would you suggest?

I would go for something more radical. Something along the lines of the Fi amps.

Aah yes...I like that design as well...that is what I call thinking outside the box..

Take the F, rotate output section (two 9-pin sockets and two big ones) 90 degrees clockwise, then turn the entire device 90 degrees clockwise and that'll be my choice

Hi TG,

That is an excellent suggestion...Never thought of that...but probably won't do that because all the RCA plugs etc, would be to the right of the amp...depends on the future owner of the amp..
