Question pentode or triode

I am working on a set of custom ESL's which I plan to drive with an old Marantz 8B (6ca7's if I recall correctly). My question is should I run it in pentode or triode mode?

Thanks,
Jeff

Hi,

Either way should work but will:

-sound different from each other.

-depending on the effeciency of the ESL you may prefer the more powerful penthode mode.

Ciao,
