Could you post the schematics (or just tell model names if schematic is not available) of non-diy amplifiers with choke input power supplies ? I could not find more than 2-3.

musical fidelity amps with a CR in the model no have choke regulation. most, if not all are SS though.

The only one I can think of is the RadioCraftsman C500A, "designed" by Sidney Smith in the early fifties. It was really just a straight copy of the Williamson with concessions made to ease production. The choke-input filter didn't last too long; it was quickly done away with in subsequent revisions.

The great thing about DIY is that one can cast engineering economy aside.
