My idea is to built amp for esl speakers.
Tubes will be as follow:
- 6c45 or 6c19 input (from DAC), choke loaded, cap coupled to
- VV52 transformer coupled to
- GU-48 (833 from Russia) direct to esl.

Power supply:
- 872s for GU-48
- 866 for VV52
- Solid state for input

Does anyone have experience with GU-48?

SE an ESL

Hello,

for ESL´s you need a push/pull signal, means two signal out of phase. How will you manage that with a single ended Amp without Output Transformer ????????????????????????????????????????????????

A good recomendation is the Morgan Jones Book
"Valve amplifiers, second edition" There you find a dirct coupled amp with tramsmitting triodes.

Regards,
Reinhard

My mistake sorry – 2 off GU-48, two off 872 in power supply for each channel, etc…
I didn’t say single-ended, transformer coupled signal to the end stage will pass through secondary winding and feed two GU-48 (in push-pull or maybe I should call this dual reversed single ended…?) configuration.
I try to avoid using two off VV52.
Thanks for your answer.

;)
