ATH-W1000 headphones need amplifier

i currently bought a pair of the ATH-W1000's headphones

note i am only using this for personal use i dont need any 4channel + amp.

That 40 Ohm impedance can be a source of GRIEF if tubed circuitry is used. I have the same issue with my Grado SR225s. I use a Sheldon Stokes SS headphone amp that I think is excellent. Like Dr. Stokes says, it does not sound like SS.
