Father's Cousin Louis's vintage 1920+ collection pictures!

I've been meaning to take more pictures but time was pushing against me as I visited his place for the second time but here they are...

I went there for him to take a whiff at my SE 6GW8 amp as it was /now/ that I know drawing too much over a shorted capacitor that I replaced but apparently somehow the newie polyprop was still bad!!

Other than that he was kind as usual and gave me a couple of books:
1# Radio by Edwin N. Bradley - A Junior teach yourself book 1961
2# Electronics by W. P. Jolly 3rd Edition 1972

Anyway while I was there I managed to snap some shots :P

These pics are of only one room the other room is his workshop and is packed full of 1950+ transciever sets along with the ones he uses daily along with walls and walls of cross section wood packed with brand new tubes!!, piles of books (I still have to borrow a few maybe after I've done these two. :P).

Not a single transistor in sight :P

I believe the cousin ship of the Titannic's radio is out of frame to the left hand side, I didn't go around there as it was blocked off ;\

Which is unfortunate because that's where all the cabinet 1930 radio's with horns are...

Wow lotsa cool stuff. Those are some honkingly big valves there!

I restored a couple of old radios, they are great. Its nice to work on something made out of wood that is so well made...
