Worth to use Sic rectifiers for heaters, yes or not?

What is Sic?

Stand for Silicon Carbide (SiC) whatever it means.
Others SS rec are not Sic? So what they are?

SiC diode's forward voltage: 1.5...2.5V

Schottky barrier diode's forward voltage is 0.6...0.8V

Peek current of average filament rectifier is 3-12A!

What's the right one for filament rectifier?

Sic SQ for B+ it's outstanding and I want to know if can be used for heaters to know if increase the SQ.

SiC diode -as filament rectifier- dissipation (due to the greater forward voltage) is two-three times greater than Schottky's dissipation. I never use SiC in this position.

Increased voltage drop will cause higher dissipation at the currents we worry about for filaments, I doubt it will make much difference otherwise when used with inderectly heated cathode-type tubes, leave them to high voltage applications where their losses are negligible. UF-type diodes will be better for filaments.
