Hi all,
I need focus for this question.

Can I cascade tubes for 2000V. power supply for homemade Electro Static pair? I'll need a pair of power supply. I have transformers bought already, so part two of this post is, will I gain by using tubes? Seems not important but someone may have tried this setup, and perhaps there is proof that tubes benefit. :apathic:

Thanks again,
GH

HV Control

There are the beam triode tubes that can handle HV and moderate current:

6HZ5 / 6JD5
6JH5
6JK5
6HS5 / 6HV5

These are usually available pretty cheap since no one has any use for them. Have high transconductance, wattage, and Mu. Not something I would want to play with however, too dangerous at such high voltages. (and they don't work worth beans at low voltage unless you draw grid current)
