Hi all,
I need focus for this question.
Can I cascade tubes for 2000V. power supply for homemade Electro Static pair? I'll need a pair of power supply. I have transformers bought already, so part two of this post is, will I gain by using tubes? Seems not important but someone may have tried this setup, and perhaps there is proof that tubes benefit.
Thanks again,
GH

HV Control
There are the beam triode tubes that can handle HV and moderate current:
6HZ5 / 6JD5
6JH5
6JK5
6HS5 / 6HV5
These are usually available pretty cheap since no one has any use for them. Have high transconductance, wattage, and Mu. Not something I would want to play with however, too dangerous at such high voltages. (and they don't work worth beans at low voltage unless you draw grid current)
