How to make negative voltage using Tube rectfier?
will a diode after rectifier will do? any other method?
thanks.
ynot.
6AL5 would be suitable for low current applications for use as a full wave . Dampers or 35Z4 / EY84 etc for higher currents half wave . If you're intending using tube diodes for bias supplies I'd recommend against it though . It's a whole lot easier and saves a heater winding to use snubbed SS diodes if you ask me !

The easiest way is to connect the positive output of an ordinary rectifier circuit, (using a tube rectifier) to ground and take the negative voltage from the center tap of the transformer...
