hey guys. it's late and i'm too lazy to go into detail (maybe tomarrow) but following the instructions here: http://www.tubecad.com/articles_2003...ier/index.html
when I was working on my minimalist amplifier design gave me a grid bias voltage of 17mV for a sv572-160 driver tube. Does that sound right? |

Clearly incorrect. Check the tube's datasheet.

hi
here is a copy of the tech data sheet for the -160 http://www.svetlana.com\graphics\pro...\SV572-160.pdf funny thing about the svetlana site is that all the information under the main banner is still there. I could see that the bias point may in fact be 17volts, you need power to drive this thing, as it operates in A2, this means a low impedance source, probably a cathode follower, or an interstage tranny in the anode cct of the driver stage, with bias introduced through the other end of the secondary. best of luck. bill ramsay: |
