tube power supply with no transformer? Question

hello,
I am looking to get a pre-amp kit, my question is the ps input for the B+ on the pcb excepts 0- 200 / 240vac. it has rect and filtering circuit on the pcb.

Q. can i run the 220vac from my nz wall socket with no pt or will i have issues? (fused etc of course)

Don't do it. Find a 230:230 isolation transformer or use back-to-back 230:6 transformers

Old TV's used to do this for valves for cost reasons.
From a safety point of view, very risky and your thread will probably be deleted for reasons of safety.

Forum rules prohibit transformerless designs. As has been stated, such designs are EXTREMELY unsafe. Don't do it!

All these posters are correct. What you are suggesting is incredibly unsafe. It also is probably against the law in your country.
