Default 2e24

Hi All,

Just wondering if the dhp 2e24 would produce good sound in SE triode mode. Mu is around 7

Looking at building an amp using either 2e24, common 6146 or the over abundant EL34.

6BQ6 and 6DQ6 are also options. (I have had great results with the 6BQ6's in Triode...however, the plate dissapation was too high. Got another method in mind )

I understand that the only somewhat powerful option is the EL34's, but they are so common and they seem to lack in the bass and especially the highs. Put a 6L6 in there and everything opens up...but, there again common.

I built a SE 1625 with very nice results. Misty- SE 1625 Triode Strapped- Newest Build

Although 1625 = 12v 807- extremely close to 6L6's.

Can you tell that I want to do something different?

Thanks for any input you have.

First set of curves look great. Anode resistance is high, and output would be fairly low, but I think it would be worth a shot.
