For my next project, I think I am going to build a Pass SOZ v.6 or something. I will need something for voltage gain, though... and I was thinking a tube would be in order.
I would like to use a 6DJ8, and need enough voltage gain across that to drive my 8-ohm speakers with about 10-20 watts... but I am not sure what voltage I should run the tube on. 90V? Higher? Thanks for any help you can provide! |

Hi
I think between 200 and 300 Volts for optimal performance. However, If some contraint exists, also 100V or a bit less will be good. It obviously depends on the contest: max swing desired, max distortion allowed, load resistance. Federico |
