Default tube preamp w/ XLR?

A simple question, why it is hard for me to find a tube preamp that has balanced in/out (XLR) in it, whether it is commercial one or DIY one?

That kit over at K&K was developed by Dave Davenport.

He has his own site nowadays.

http://www.raleighaudio.com

I built the linestage kit before it became a complete kit..
built the psu etc myself.

I don't use it balanced...just single ended...I love that preamp.

http://home.zonnet.nl/horneman/kandk.htm you can see some phodies of my build..(Going to redo the build oneday)

Ha, *****es Brew...

Actually it's nothing more than a long tailed pair differential amp, easy enough to build with a single dual triode.

Cheers,

Hi,

Yep, that and than it goes on "...in a Bottle"

Look at the circuits' title on the website you linked to.

It just so happens I know it as it's member Jam's favourite...

If only the scan was a little cleaner...

Cheers,

Default Tubed fully balanced with more...

Have you considered the Cary Audio SLP-2002 preamp?

Fully balanced, 4 separate line gain stages operating in class A triode.

Analog remote volume, cinema by-pass input, single ended triode headphone output, tape monitor, fully regulated high voltage and filament voltage.

4 seperate gain stages means 4 seperate gain stages. That is not balanced.
