Cool, it looks to me like this transformer was designed for the 7 watter. You could substitute a pair of EL84s and ECC82s for the ECL82s with some adjustments in operating point. The paraphase splitter probably is the biggest down point of the original design and could be replaced with an LTP.. Gain my be higher than considered desirable, the design could be a good departure point for an improved design or you could just build as designed and enjoy the vintage sound that results.
