I looked casually a couple of months ago.
The only place I found them was here:New Sensor
I was hoping I could turn up someplace else.

Frank; Checked all the local sites including Ned's but found nothing. Is this a tube that is normally available in Europe?
Dougl; Checked the New Sensor site but didn't see it. I understand they were Svetlana Tubes and some data about them appears in their tech bulletin # 52, but that is as far as I got.

Hi,
He,he...Continental Europe, yes....But I guess that wasn't the question.
To be perfectly honest with you, I've never even seen one here.
Occasionally a dealer has them but there just as rare here as they are at your side of the pond.
I'll check around for you tomorrow but if unsuccessful there are a few USSR dealers that do carry them.
Other than that E-bay sellers offer them almost daily.
Cheers,

Hi,
MAGNOVAL for the 6CJ3, no TopKapi...
Hi,
Noval rather than Magnoval sockets.
MAGNOVAL for the 6CJ3, no TopKapi...
Oi oi oi, I guess I don't really know the difference
I had somehow got "novar" in my head in place of "noval", which was then mentally displaced upwards in size
What I DO know is that Russian magnoval bases are unsuitable for US valves. I know because I mounted some then plugged in 6CJ3s - wiggle wiggle wobble wobble

Hi,
Well...That turns out to be quite correct anyway....Dang #@!!! I should have known.
The 6CJ3 being a n American type it's not likely to be a magnoval pinout but NOVAR.
I had second thoughts aleady but Duncan amps wrongly describe it as magnoval.
NOVAL are the small 9 pinner such as 12AX7A/ECC83 etc.
Magnoval or big noval is used by the 6KG6/EL509 (mostly TV tubes)
Novar was also used by TV tubes, often dissimilar triodes etc.
Both NOVAR and Magnoval are quite similar in size but not at all interchangeable...
When forced into the wrong socket reliability problems may crop up.
Here's a picture of both side by side:
