50watt Plexi Again

Thanks alot guys. So a Hammond 1650k output transformer,
Would a 400-0-400 200mA 5v 3A, 6.3v 6A be the way to go?
Should I use a 9H 40mA choke or a 30H 40mA or a 15H 75mA?

I'm getting these products off this Australian site:

Just wanna make sure I'm buying the right thing!

Hi,
I see that you did not take my advice on the rating for the choke.
If your a guitarist and building amps you must have seen the size of chokes on amps, have you ever seen a small one, I think not.
as mentioned earlier on last post by other member, even an ac50
has a 100mA fitted, And i have 2 1960's ac30's both with 100mA
chokes even the origonal schematic advises 100-200mA rated.

remember theres more of a surge on cold power up in the dc with solid state rectification than with a valve rectified supply which is what an ac30 has.

Combined total current may only be 50ma or so but 100ma rating for the filter choke would be a much better choice. Also true that the inrush current is greater with SS rectifier. Go with 100ma or greater. The amp is only as good as the sum of its parts and the price difference is negligable. Happy building, my first guitar amp clone was a Marshall Master 50 and my last was a point to point wired 5150(six stages of preamp bliss)
