I just realized that the 6AG7's G3 is connected to the metal shell by default, so in cathode follower configuration the 6550's G1 will be exposed on this shell (G3 and cathode of the 6AG7 will be connected together).
I'm not sure if this will make any trouble, or should I get rid of this first hand by connect this G3 to ground instead of cathode?
Also, for 6AG7 Cathode follower circuit, which is better, triode or pentode mode?
