I would not buy it in the first place if you cannot get schematics and a reasonable answers from the vendor.
Ebay has lot's of vendors that gives support don't support those that lacks support

The reason they can't tell you the output voltage is because it depends on the input voltage. They should be able to tell you the gain. Given the circuit diagram it should be possible to estimate the gain. Almost certainly it will have too much gain, unless it really is a buffer - in which case the gain will be close to 1.

Thanks for your replies guys.

I am looking for something to act as output stage in a cdp and have seen this board used for that purpose.

I shall persevere with attempting to get a diagram or answer re gain from the vendor.

With that listing it is hard to tell. I thought
when you use the term buffer this implied
a circuit with no gain. Like the B1 the unity gain
buffer by Nelson Pass is sometimes described
as a Buffer Preamp although it clearly has no gain.

An output stage in a CD player has a specific job to do. It is unlikely that a random Chinese 'preamp' bought off ebay will do a better job than whatever the CD player designed intended.

However for £16 it may be worth a try given how crap the output stage is in the majority of CD players. If you've nothing useful to contribute...

If you are in a position to reverse-engineer some CD player output stages and conclude that they are "crap" then you are in a position to design your own better output stage. So why not do this?
