Default 12SC7 as a phase splitter?

I have a bunch of 12SC7's and was wondering if I could use it as a long tail phase splitter?

You can, but you are dealing with high RP/low gm triodes. Directly driving full pentode mode "finals" should be OK. However, don't try to directly drive anything with a substantial CMiller.

Another "gotcha" with low gm is poor resistance to slew limiting induced by a loop NFB HF error correction signal.
