Good evening everyone,
To ground or not to ground, that is my question. I am starting the component gathering for my ST-70 clone and am looking at various power connectors. The original ST-70 had an AC cord entering a grommet then a knot and then soldered in place. There is an ST-70 replacement chassis that has an IEC connector, which I am going to assume grounds the chassis to the green ground wire in the typical AC power cord. Since the chassis I have does not have the IEC hole, but a 3/8" hole, I can A) insert a grommet and use a two wire line cord, or B) open up the hole to use one of these Amphenol AC line connectors.
Thanks
Ray
