Do you have the possiblity to measure the temperature inside the box ? For us Humans a temperature of about 40 degrees Celcius feels kinda hot, for electronics however this is a piece of cake to handle.

Hmmm, could be tricky. If I had the hole in the cabinet to insert the thermometer, there may not be an issue in the first place. I could detach one of the wooden side panels and stick in a thermometer but this act, in itself, would probably cool things down.

We could just be talking of a piece of cake anyway. My concern is simply because I had one breakdown - tube heater regulator overheating - but fitting a better heatsink to this component could have solved the problem anyway. The designer is of that view.
