Question about tube in Little Bear P8 - 6N5P

Hi folks,

I've bought myself the Little Bear P8 to have it setup as headphone amp and pre-amp for my TPA3116.

Seller had listed needed tubes as 2x6N3P - got them ok, and 1x6N5P (as one of the possible ones).
I have ordered russian 6N5P, received it and then tried to install in the LB. Looks like there are 2 different 6N5P - russian ones and chinesse, and I needed the latter.
Russian one, the one that I have, has 9 pins and it small in size.
Chinesse has 8 pins and middle pin.

Are those interchangable if I would build some kind of adapter or are they completely different tubes?

Chinese 6N5P is equal to US-type 6AS7G or soviet type 6N13S. These are big double triodes with Octal socet.

Soviet 6N5P is Noval based small double triode, fully different as you have notice.

So buy 6AS7G, or 6N13S (or 6080).

Thank you both for reply's. I have now ordered all 3, will do some tube rolling.

I have already bought 6N3, thinking of getting GE5670 - would this be recommended, or I need to roll myself to see?

I dont have any Russian ones spare, i do have a couple of GE 6AS7GA's if you need something to get you going, its basically a 6AS7 in a 6080 bottle.
