Svetlana Svetlana EL509-II: Please disregard all my statements about this tube!
Dear all,
I am sorry to have caused doubts about the Svetlana EL509-II tube. It has become evident that the way I conducted the measurements was NOT appropriate, and did NOT show the actual performance of the tube. I ask you all to ENTIRELY disregard what I said about the tube in the quotation of my letter to CB posted above. I am very sorry about this, and any trouble it has caused for vendors as well as builders. I should have learned more about testing procedures before criticising this or any other product. Those of you who have ordered, but changed your mind, please reconsider. I made a terrible blunder in communicating measurements without having any other tubes to compare with.
