Is this mod worth the effort?

just finished my first tube amp.......built the k-12m from kit...wow, what a great sound....i'm not going back to solid state! the amp has 6x 0.22uF general purpose MPE caps, and 3x samsung electolytics.....is it worth the effort to replace the MPEs with beter quality like MPKs or ? what about the electrolytics (22uF, 100wF, 220uF). All are 250V rating. Thanks for your input..........

Uh oh another cap question! :D

You might want to do a forum search, everyone has lots of opinions on caps.

Personally i like the ones made in mountain monastaries in Transylvania, with an electrolyte of pure garlic oil :p

But seriously, spend a little on caps and you might get a better result. Black gates are the ultimate electrolytic, but nichicon muse are pretty decent. For coupling caps try foil and oil. Try www.angela.com
