Default McIntosh mc40 power transformer

Hi all,

I bought recently a monobloc mc40 and c26 preamp. It os intended to be my winter restoration project. Because they are imported, they work on 110v. But from the schematics I think they can be revired for 220-230v, running the primary vindings in series. Is this correct it not?h

Yes, just observe polarity, otherwise the voltage will cancel. Don't forget to derate the fuse to half the value.

The inrush limiter value should be halved as well.

The 120 VAC power outlet should also be removed, and the opening covered.
New tie points for the internal wiring may need to be installed when you do this.
