Default Online Resoucre for Old Tubes?

Hello,

I have three boxes of old vaccuume tubes. Most are from the 1950 and previous.

Is there any online resource that can tell me about these? They all have the numbers and makers printed in them, naturally.

I realise that some may be TV and readio but perhaps I have a amp tube tha I can use in a project or use one of the transformers in another.

BTW, what type of tubes are there? I know about the amplifying and transformers but are there other types, too?

(who has at LEAST 100 tubes.)

Download the TDSL software from www.duncanamps.com

It is a windows database of 13,000 tubes, including specs and recommended operating points.

Common tube types are rectifiers (AC to DC), preamp tubes, and power tubes.

You will probably have at least a few that are useful. Many odd tubes can be used to make sweet music.

Post a list of the ones you have, maybe the people here can give you some advice...
