Just starting to plan the physical construction phase of a SE807 amplifier. I thought I'd pick the brains of wisdom here and get some socket recommendations.
Pondering the older ceramic wafer style vs. newer ceramic chassis mount but am open to other suggestions too. Bottom mount, top mount, etc...
If you don't mind sharing your thoughts, I'd love to hear them.
Thanks
Mark

I haven't been exceptionally happy with the wafer sockets, especially the newer ones. Some of them tend to be on the loose side. Spotting the holes for the wafer sockets can be a bit of a chore, and they take a fair amount of space under the deck.
The old phenolic 5 pin sockets grab better and are easier to mount/take less space - try E-prey.

I've had decent luck with the ceramic wafer chassis mount sockets. Lately, I've used some really nice teflon sockets. Pricey, but very good.
Got a link to the teflon sockets?
thanks
