Default Tubelab sse choke input 6v6

I am in the process of building a tubelab sse. Ordered edcor iron anticipating the use of el34's/6l6 etc.
Have now decided I would like to try the 6v6. So I will have to go with a choke input filter to lower the B+.
Was hoping someone could tell me if I am going to need a choke specifically designed for input duty or if the regular edcor choke will work here?

Thanks,
Ritchie

I've used regular chokes with a small input cap (1uF - 4uF) to adjust the output voltage. Technically it is a CLC filter, but the first cap is so small that it apporaches an LC filter. I use film caps for the first cap, as they are good at handeling the ripple current and voltage.

Thanks, I'll give that a try. That will also allow me to get the B+ close to desired.
