Hey All,

I want to recap my AR SP3a1. I need .22, .1 and 1 uf caps for both the phono section and the line amp. (I don't care about the tone controls) And my question is this, do you normally use the same type and brand all the way through?

This has mediocre polyester caps, you'll be pleased with the results. Polypropylene caps are best here.
If you use the phono input, I'd also bypass the phono selector switch, wiring the phono jacks directly to the pcb. You can also reroute the wiring going to the tone circuit. Normally it's always amplifying, even when turned off.
