Hey tubeman-
I found a little info, here- UX-CV-11 Looks like it could be an interesting tube to play with. I have some in the UX base ones like you, as well as some with the jumbo 50 watt base (211 type). I found out on the antiqueradios.com forums that they were used for diathermy. Pretty heavy grids designed to handle grid current. I will post if I get a chance to experiment with them in my burning man amp I'm working on. -Kent |

Yes this number was used for diathermy apparatus and also some ultrasonic cleaner oscillator service. I have about a dozen of them but have never tried them for audio. Only small Tesla coils.
Here is some info from Eddy R's site.http://www.rell.com/resources/RellDo...S_1/uxcv11.PDF

Do you still have the UX-CV-11's? I am looking for one for my diathermy machine.

Yes I still have them but I'm not interested in selling any. They do turn up on eBay from time to time like this one here.

I saw it. It is not tested and no return on it. To me that is always a red flag. People sell broken things all the time on ebay and say "unable to test" or "item is as pictured" and it turns out to be junk...and most sellers know it is junk....otherwise they would say "untested - willing to take a return".
Let me know if you change your mind. I am eager to use the machine for health reasons. |
