EF86 triode question

Hi

Is there a any diference in EF86 triode conected when conecting G2,G3 and Plate together, or G2 with Plate, and G3 with cathode? How is it better ?

The theory is,

Between Triode and True triode..

Here is an article..the interesting bit is about half way down.
It starts..
In a pentode such as the EL34

Yes its a bit hard going...however I found a difference with EL34..

And yes its been posted before and yes ..etc...etc..

so its between pentodes connected triode or true triode.
The first time I tried it was in about 1978..It was in an article by Audion I think..

I agree,

But the connection is interesting on EL34..
Its the only thing I could find at the moment...
There was some info a while back, but I can't find it.
NB I have used/tried this connection..
