When soldering components to PCBs, I have seen two different approaches:
1) Trim the legs BEFORE soldering to avoid stressing the joint when snipping the legs off.
2) Trim the legs AFTER soldering which is easier than the first approach.
What do you think?
I just make a judgement call, I try to snip as gently as possible. If I think I have disturbed the joint I will re-wet it.
