6EJ7's vs. 6JC6A

Any reason I should not use a 6JC6A in place of a 6EJ7?

They are very similar, but 6jc6 appears to lack the internal shield to pin 6???

6EJ7/EF184 datasheet with plate curves:

Looks like 6JC6 is a bit sharper cutoff toward the knees, and 6EJ7 has 2X the plate resistance.

I used the 6JC6A in one of my early amps, as it was one of the better performers in Pete Millett's pentode shootout. I had no complaints. I don't remember if the 6EJ7 was on his short list as well, but I've gotten a bunch on spec and will end up using them one day. The 6EJ7 is supposed to make a nice triode when strapped for it. The varieties with the mesh shield also look good.
