Even though it contains 2 grids, the #46 is not a tetrode. The tube was engineered in a time frame where limiting inventory was important. Set a #46 up 1 way and it is a nice, linear, Class "AB1" driver. Set the tube up the other way and it's a Class "B2" power O/P. Both setups are triodes!

Eli

Ok, use the 46 as exemple do not is a good idea.
But I want know if is possible use a true tetrode as 4-65A or other in a ultra linear connection...
This is my doubt !

thanks

This is the circuit
