Hi everyone. I want to put together a shorts tester using this schematic. I have a few tube testers but want to pre-test using a black box before sticking the tubes in my tube tester.

I have a few hundred 12V transformers so I can do a 12V version. What's your take on the best lighting device for this circut using 12V. Ideally, something that will start to light up early and would get pretty bright seems like it would be best. Alternatively, I can also combine the transformers I have to result in 120V isolated for each light instead of 12V for each light. There are some that feel that testing for shorts works better at higher voltages...so I can do that....so for a 120V version...what's your take on a good lighting device?
