Default Motorcapacitors in high volt. power supplies?

Have some motorcapacitors, and I wonder...Can I use these in a high voltage powersupply in a tube amplifier?
They are 15mF/450v...

Why not?
Search in this forum for motor run caps... there must be many many threads asking the same question.

The common "motor run" caps are fine. Don't use "Motor start" ones. These caps are often rated for vAC. You can usually use these at 1.4 x vAC for the DC rating.

These caps are much better than electrolytics - I only use motor run caps in all my supplies. If you use a mixture, make sure the last cap in the sequence is a motor run. I assume you mean 15uF. You can parallel them up as you wish to make larger sizes.

yes, use them nicely. I have used them as coupling caps too.

but the would be nice to pair with two 20H coils in L-C-L-C to have 15mV ripple power (there abouts).

Some motor run caps are oil filled, these are my favorites.
I love the Siemens (today Epcos) MKV oil caps.

I still have lots of 0,22F mkv
