I got a pair of these and I'm not sure what they are, they look to be too old and well built to be home made. Only marks are HT-1-101. Tube layout is 2 5881 5v4 2 6SN7. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Yes, it appears to be commercially manufactured. Nothing like a front panel, so possibly intended to be buried inside a PA system, musical instrument (organ?) or maybe a large console stereo.
The rubber grommets on the standoff feet suggest that it might be a "hot chassis". Is that the case?
Is the tube complement marked? The octal sockets, and absence of 7- or 9-pin miniature sockets suggests design prior to roughly 1950, but doesn't rule out manufacture as late as around 1960. However, the blue plastic sleeves on the capacitors suggest a later date - or perhaps a repair or refurbishment at a later date.

Same as my Heathkit W4-AM's. So possibly a Williamson kit, as the transformers are attached with machine screws, not rivets.
