Both amps are great though the Quad has twice the power.
The Cadet does NOT ever require coupling caps changing as they are Mullard mustards and 100% reliable. The Quad however is a different story and Does reqire the coupling caps changing as they are horrid leaky paper types.

Depends where you are, I take it your way down south of the border. I tried to attach the circuit diagram but it was to large a file. I could PM you if that would help.I got them from HiFi engine.

Yes way south in Surrey.
Had a look at the circuit diagram and it could be a problem with the caps marked C3, one may be very low?
