Antek out of business until April
Apparently there was an accident and they won't be able to get things going again until April at the earliest.

Oh Hell! I have 4 projects in the pipeline that will use their traffos! Just looked at the site and everything shows up out of stock!!
|
There was a fire that destroyed their offices and warehouse but fortunately nobody was hurt.

I find Antek to be a top-shelf operation. Timely, reasonable price, quality stuff.
I hear this is just a standing 8-count, and I hope the community returns to them when they recover. Again, I like Antek, and want them back, but someone has to say it: In the mean time, what is the comparable alternative for such a selection of trafos? I see this thread is in the tubes section, but I don't need those big guns. I haven't found another firm with such a large menu. Any suggestions until Antek comes back? |
Comes to mind Edcor.

Some words of support to them may be of value. I don't know how profitable our part of their business is, but if it's marginal it would make sense to encourage them to stay in our segment.
I'm going to drop them a note...... |
I've visited their facility several times -- just over the Passaic River in North Arlington -- which, coincidentally, was the first place in the US that the Dutch mined copper!

I was really looking forward to an AN-4TK400 for my KT88 PP build. I guess I'll wait.
All the best to Antek. |
