Default Maverick Audio TubeMagic D1 DAC

Does this have the power to drive an amp directly, like my Onkyo M501?
Maverick Audio - TubeMagic D1 DAC

Could i hook my speaker amp into the tube output and sub amp into the solid state output and would this drive both amps? Furthermore, would it drive them with stuff like equalizers and crossovers in line? WOuld those deminish my sound quality?

I really like the idea of this DAC/preamp but i want to make sure it will power two amps and leave some headroom for me to upgrade to other amps later on.

Thanks!

What is the input voltage needed to drve the Onkyo to full power?

Maverik does not specify output voltage capabilities, you'll need to ask.

I di note in the FAQ that this unit is based on the same one as the original Grant Fidelity DAC -- with which i had no problem driving power amps.

All it says in the service manual is this:

Sensitivity and impedance - 1V/50kohms

I'm not sure if its talking about the input or not....

My iPhone drive it ok though...

The Onkyo i assume... i think you'll be gine, You should double check with Maverik to make sure. It likely has 2V output.

It is designed as a preamp so it does a great job of driving amps. I've driven tube and SS amps with mine and love all the options it provides.
