48 volt supply for a tube? What tube would that be?

I'm sure there are tubes that will function at 48V but I'm more concerned about the gain of the tube VAS - I'm not so sure it has any ?

Who owns the copyright for the right-hand part of the circuit? The OP has a habit of posting circuits without proper attribution, usually in the Solid State area. Newbies should take his comments with a pinch of salt.

As drawn it looks like that valve stage will have a gain of unity even given higher voltage rails - not much of a VAS

Default I would use a 6H30Pi

do not look at the values of resistors: Rolleyes:
EDIT YOUR VERSION
the CFP is derived from

https://picasaweb.google.com/1031761...lyAugustIssue#

The tubes work very well in low-voltage

With the values shown and the split rails the gain will now be a whopping 0, as the first valve will be turned on hard.

Let's ask the OP:
1. Have you built it? If so, what did it sound like?
2. Have you simulated it? If so, how well did it work?
3. Have you calculated anything (e.g. gain)? If so, what?

If none of the above, what is your purpose in posting? It clearly isn't education, as you are not explaining anything. It can't be bragging, as the circuits are generally poorly designed or just ripped off other people.
