Curcio or Triode Elec for ST-70 hot rod parts?

I'm looking to install a cap board and new driver board. The cap boards seem more or less identical.

Can anyone characterize the differences between Triode's and Curcio's driver board upgrades?

Curcio's driver boards are all-triode and use a CCS diff-amp with on-board regulation. IIRC, the Triode board has a pentode input driving a triode split-load inverter.

I'm a big fan of Ned Carlson and have bought a lot of stuff from Triode over the years, but the Curcio design is much more sophisticated.

Are you refering to his standard or premium upgrade board? The premium board is a little spendy.

Hmmm, the one I have is from the Glass Audio article. I'd guess it corresponds to the standard board.

And now there is the Welborne Labs mod that I just found. That one kind of scares me as I want to do the cap and driver board separately to keep it simple.

I just ordered Curcio's cap board and some new sockets.

Not a kit... but a really good upgrade;
